Workshop/Events
- Next workshop is Saturday 15th February
- TH Council have offered to pay a grant towards the running costs of the workshop, however this cannot be paid directly into THW account so we have asked if they can pay it into the central LCC account.
- Sirena (ride leader for Free Cycle), still has not been paid since last year. Keith has spoken to Stuart to try to find the underlying cause of the reason why she has not received payment yet.
- Keith is running a Cycle Instructor training course over the whole of the week commencing 17th February.
Living Streets
- The charity Living Streets usually works with TfL or local councils, as they are the ones who own the roads.
- Kathe’s plan is to visit local groups within London to start building a picture locally but also London wide of any particular issues/challenges.
Tower Hamlets Officers Meeting
- Julie, David & Alex met with Rob Morton, Tom Rawlings, Chris Harrison, Jack Ettinger and Cllr Kristen Perry (Cycling & Walking Champion)
- A general update on the Liveable Streets programme was provided
- TfL are putting more cycle stands along Bow Road and Commercial Road.
- South Dock Bridge, there does not seem much chance of allowing cycling across it.
- A more ambitious cycling transport plan is to come out this year.
N/S Cycleway
- CS3, there are to be major utility works in the area and they will try their best to keep CS3 open, though there is a chance that part of CS3 may be closed for a couple of weeks.
Cabinet Meeting 29th January
- Bethnal Green Liveable Streets plans approved with some caveats.
Shadwell Liveable Streets
- Early Engagement now open, closes 1st March.
Barkantine Liveable Streets
