Transport Strategy
- There is a target that by 2041, 90% of all journeys within the borough are to be done via walking/cycling or using public transport.
- Now that the strategy has been signed off, there is a team looking at how to achieve this. The price of car parking is included in this.
- Working groups will be set up to tackle the six aims of the strategy. There will be both shorter and longer-term aims.
- The number 100 bus is to be going electric.

Bethnal Green Liveable Streets
- A report on any potential tweaks to the Bethnal Green Liveable Streets project is expected a week before the next council meeting on the 29th January.

Cycling Updates – Tower Hamlets
- There is an agenda item looking at how dockless bikes would work within the borough going to the next council meeting.
- Sustrans have been commissioned to do a report looking into cycling with the borough

Tower Hamlets Cycling Campaign Launch
- Tower Hamlets council will be looking to start a campaign around the summer time to help increase the levels of cycling within the borough.
- Tower Hamlets Wheelers could help out in a number of areas: Dr Bike at launch event, hosting Park Rides or ‘Ride around your borough’, similar to what Hackney do. We could look to a ride around Bethnal Green once the Liveable Streets scheme has been implemented there.

Hackney/Isle of Dogs Cycleway
- Grove Road is a Tower Hamlets road and this will be included within the Bow Liveable Streets project
- South of Bow has stalled. TfL didn’t approve the Westferry junction.

Wapping Bus Gate/Liveable Streets
- Wapping Liveable Streets going to the council in February.

Phase 2 – Liveable Streets
- Barkintine consultation will be out later in January.
- Brick Lane consultation is now open
