Christmas Day Ride
Why not join Wheelers on Christmas Day for the traditional LCC ride?
In the words of leader Francis Sedgemore "The festive season approacheth, and the Southeast London Commissariat for Social Cycle Rides Planning (aka the Dog & Bell Crew) invites you to join many, various and adventurous local cyclists for a Mithrasmas meander from maritime Greenwich to Putney. Much of the ride will be along the Thames Path, away from motor vehicles full of squabbling adults and exasperated children.
The Mithrasmas Mass is a Christmas Day tradition begun in 2001 by the late great Barry Mason."

The THW contingent will leave from Beigel Bake in Brick Lane at 10.30 to join the main ride at Southwark Needle. You are welcome to come earlier to join us for breakfast before we set off.
The main ride calls at a pub in Putney around lunchtime and then carries on to a cafe on Edgware Road for a late Lebanese lunch. However people leave at various times to suit themselves, so don't worry if you can only make the morning.

Rides information
Our rides are highlighted by "RIDE". You don't have to be a member to join in and we're also always looking for new ride ideas. Contact our Rides Co-ordinator for further information.
There is no need to register beforehand for a ride unless this is specifically stated, most rides are "turn up and go".
If you haven't ridden with us before please read our Ride Guidance Notes.
Please note that for train assisted rides we often cannot publish times until about 2 weeks beforehand because of the need to check engineering works. Also sometimes our ride leaders do have to change dates/times/routes at reasonably short notice. Generally this website will be up to date and also details will be sent out to our email groups, but if in doubt contact the ride leader or our rides co-ordinator to check arrangements.
