Held at the Cabin, St Margaret’s House, 21 Old Ford Road
Present: Christy, Keith, Dave T, Iain
Apologies: Helen, Julie, Alex, Heike, Owen
Chair: David T
Minutes: Christy
1. Workshop 19/08/2017
Keith away, possibly Owen or Bob to run. David T volunteered to cover if necessary.
Action: Keith to email Owen
2. Freecycle Debrief
Keith led a group of 24 people into central London for the day, with 6 people accompanying him back. Main source of information for those who attended seemed to be the Freecycle website with the majority of people not local to the area but staying in Tower Hamlets for the weekend. Keith has now officially retired from the event, with Serena possibly taking up the role for next year.
3. Healthy Streets by New London Architecture Event Debrief
David T attended the event. LCC and Living Streets both presented. Brian Deegan and Lucy Saunders of TfL also presented. Lucy Saunders talked about scoring system of liveability of streets.
Action: Christy to look into printing off business cards to hand out at such events after talking with interested parties.
4. Consultations
Numerous consultations submitted over the past few weeks. Main one was Local Infrastructure Fund. Unfortunately planners didn’t accept emails as submissions. Wanted everything submitted by web form which was limited to 160 characters in the main description box. Still awaiting publication of TfL guidance on Liveable Neighbourhoods. No further consultations out as yet.
Action: All to monitor Cyclescape for new consultations and provide feedback.
5. Rides
Glamour Ride – Need to fix a date with Rob on back of doodle poll for dates.
Action: Rob to add Glamour Ride date on website.
Thamesmead Ride – Keith planning a ride to Thamesmead either Sunday 3rd or Sunday 24th of September.
Action: Keith to put ride on website once date confirmed.
6. AOB
Keith given two bikes to be donated to the Wheelers by an emigrating couple. Agreed that they should be given on permanent loan to Zacharias Project.
